Kerala tribal's murder: 16 people arrested, to be produced before special court tomorrow

Two days after a Kerala tribal man was beaten to death for theft in Attappadi, sixteen people accused in the murder case were arrested and charged with several sections of murder on Saturday.

As per media reports, all the accused will be produced before a special court on Sunday.

The postmortem report confirmed that the man had died of trauma caused by the torture. It also confirmed that he was beaten up and had internal injuries and injuries to his head and back.

The death of tribal man sent shockwaves across the country after a group of people attacked him with sticks for allegedly stealing valuables and food items from the house of a local person.

The mob even shot videos and clicked selfies of the brutal incident, which went viral on social media on Friday.

The victim was brutally thrashed and was handed over to the police.

After his health started deteriorating, the police took him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
