Pakistan has announced it would issue photos and a video of the meeting and also allow the family to interact with media if India agrees.
Former Indian naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, who faces espionage charges and has been sentenced to death by Pakistan, will be meeting his mother and his wife later today.
The EK 612 Emirates flight that was carrying Jadhav's family landed a short while ago in Islamabad, media reports confirmed. Jadhav's wife and mother arrived in Islamabad via Dubai.
Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said the meeting will not be allowed to go on for more than an hour.
Pakistan's police and paramilitary security forces have deployed heavy security measures around Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the meeting between Jadhav and his family will take place.
The security measures include sharpshooters. And no unauthorised cars are being allowed into the area.
Media reports also confirm that Jadhav's family would be travelling back to India this evening itself.
Jadhav's wife and mother will be allowed to spend close to seven hours in Pakistan after which they fly back to India via Oman.
The Oman Air flight to Muscat is scheduled to depart at 6.15 pm from Islamabad, according to Islamabad airport authorities.
