India enters into agreement over security cooperation with Russia

India signed an agreement on developing Cooperation on security with Russia on Monday.

The agreement aims at comprehensive approach to issues like high-tech crimes, counterfeit currency and illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and humans, an official stated.

It is signed between Home minister Rajnath Singh and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

The next Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on counter-terrorism between India and Russia will be held in 2018. 

Rajnath Singh is on a three-day visit to Russia from November 27 to 29.
