Honeypreet's judicial custody extended by 14 days

A Panchkula court has extended Honeypreet (Priyanka Taneja) custody by 14 days.

The 'adopted daughter' of Dera Sachha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was arrested by Haryana police on October 3. 

She was arrested in connection with the violence that broke out after the conviction of Dera Sachha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. 

The courts have since extended her remand several times. 

She is currently lodged in Ambala central jail. 

Honeypreet had been on the run for 38 days after the former Dera chief's conviction.
