The trailer of Saif Ali Khan's Kaalakaandi is out and it showcases the actor in a quirky role. For those who have been a fan of Khan's work, the trailer will serve as a breath of fresh air as it showcases the actor's impeccable comic timing after a long time.

Khan plays a mad hatter in this dark comedy that also features actors like Kunal Roy Kapur, Akshay Oberoi, Shobhita Dhulipala, Shenaz Treasury, Vijay Raaz and Deepak Dobriyal. The film has been directed by Akshat Verma.

The film has Saif playing a man who has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and the doctor asks him to whatever makes him happy. What perhaps ensues as Saif goes in pursuit of happiness forms the rest of the story.
Talking about Kaalakaandi, Saif Ali Khan said, “The film is a cross-section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers all mixed together in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night!! I truly consider it to be one of my best films and am really forward to the release.”

In 2017, Saif was seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon and then he played the lead role in the official adaptation of Chef.
