Actor Armaan Kohli of the fame Bigg Boss was recently arrested by the Mumbai police after his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa filed a case against him. As a development to the arrest, Armaan’s bail plea has also been rejected by the magistrate.

Armaan was arrested on Neeru’s complaint that he allegedly physically assaulted her on June 3. The two were dating for three years.

Armaan’s lawyer argued that a bail petition on behalf of him has been filed in Bombay High Court for quashing the case by mutual consent as Neeru was apparently withdrawing her FIR. The lawyer claimed that the two have decided to close the matter personally on mutual terms and hence there is no point in keeping him in custody. The lawyer also mentioned that framing Armaan for possession of a weapon was only put so that the actor couldn’t get bail.

Speaking to a website on the matter, Neeru she that she is in talks with Armaan's representatives and that their formal terms will be decided during the hearing on Friday. A source close to Neeru was, however, quoted: Neeru will take back the complaints on conditions "he [Armaan] issues a formal unconditional apology for the assault, he won’t insist on being a part of her life and let her move on and lead her life as per her terms and thirdly because of her respect for his father, filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, who is a heart patient.”

After the alleged assault, Neeru was admitted at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where she underwent surgery for the injury she suffered. Armaan was booked under sections 323, 326, 504 and 506 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code).
