Ahead of 'Padmaavat' release, Deepika Padukone visits Siddhivinayak Temple

It's been a ritual for Deepika Padukone for all these years. Before each of her film's release, Deepika visits Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha. And on Tuesday, Deepika stepped out amid tight security to visit the temple and seek blessings for her upcoming film Padmaavat. 

Clad in traditional attire, the 32-year-old took the blessings of Lord Ganesha for her film that has been plagued by controversies for a long time.

Starring Deepika, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, the flick has run into trouble time and again, as members of several Rajput factions have accused director Sanjay Leela Bhansali of distorting history.

The magnum-opus is based on 16th-century Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi`s epic poem Padmaavat.It is all set for a worldwide January 25 release in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
