The 'Shape Of You' singer was at his casual best in a blue kurta and jeans as he performed on stage
British singer Ed Sheeran's much-awaited concert began at Mumbai's Jio Gardens on Sunday night.
The singer was at his casual best in a blue kurta and jeans as he performed on stage to his hit numbers such as "Shape Of You", "Happier" and "Galway Girl".
Pop artist Lauv opened the concert.
Ahead of his concert, Ed Sheeran said he admired how Indian singers used their voices.
"I'm really envious of how Indian singers use their voices and how they sing. I don't think there is anyone in the western world, who can sing like that. I am jealous," the Grammy-award winning singer told ANI.
Asked about his Bollywood plans, the singer said, "I would love to work in Bollywood." He also said that the next time that he came to India would be not for work but to see the country.
"I think next time I will come here not for work but to come and see the country properly," Ed Sheeran said.
Ed sheeran who arrived in Mumbai on Friday night, on Saturday partied with Bollywood celebrities including actors Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Malaika Arora and director Farah Khan who hosted the singer at her home.
The concert is in support of his third studio album "Divide" which released in March. The album comprises of 16 songs including "Eraser", "Dive", "What Do I Know?" and "Supermarket Flowers".
This is Sheeran's second musical concert in India. His first concert in India was held in 2015.
