A Dalit organisation in Karnataka's Hubli has called for a bandh to protest against Bhima Koregaon violence in Pune.

The agitated protestors also vandalised vehicles and police barricades.

Various Dalit groups also called for a day-long bandh in Mumbai on January 3.

Dalits groups protested earlier in January to mark the 200th anniversary of Bhima-Koregaon battle in Pune.

One youth was killed in the clash after which Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis, ordered a Central Investigation Department to probe the matter.

Fadnavis also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family of the youth.

Karnataka University has rescheduled its postgraduate exams following the bandh, media reports.
