BSF never starts a fight but ensures strong action: DG on Pak ceasefire violation

Hours after the Border Security Force conducted a counter operation against the Pakistan Army's ceasefire violation, DG BSF addressed the media talking about the retaliation. 

He said that the BSF never starts a gun battle with the Pakistan troops. However, when they do so they make sure a strong action is taken against them. 

Border Security Force DG A Suresh said "We retaliated effectively which led to damage on that (Pakistan) side. BSF never starts it but when they do, we make sure we take strong action. Martyrdom of head constable A Suresh will not go in vain."

He said that the place where the operation was conducted had a stream nearby, however, the troops made sure that the no infiltration takes place.

Pakistan troops opened fire at the Indian sector of R S Pura, Jammu and Kashmir at around 9 pm on Wednesday. 

One BSF soldier lost his life in the ceasefire violation while injuring 3 civilians. 

BSF soldier, A Suresh, who was killed after Pak troops opened fire hailed from Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. He belonged to the 78 BN BSF security force.

Other ministers also spoke on the continuous ceasefire violation by Pakistan.
