Blast in Cochin shipyard as ONGC ship catches fire, at least 5 killed

A blast occurred at a shipyard in Cochin, Kerala leading to the death of at least five people.
Reports said at least 11 people have been injured.
The blast reportedly occurred during maintenance work which was being carried out in an oil and national gas corporation (ONGC) ship.
ONGC's drill ship named Sagar Bhushan caught fire during the blast.
The water tank of the vessel caught fire, reports said.
Police and fire tenders rushed to the spot with rescue operations in full swing.
Union Minister of Shipping and Water Resources Nitin Gadkari has directed MD Cochin Shipyard to provide all medical support to victims and initiate an inquiry into the incident.
