Former Telecom Minister A Raja and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader M Kanimozhi on Saturday met former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi in Chennai.

The two leaders arrived here after a special court found them not guilty in the 2G spectrum scam on Thursday.

The Chennai International Airport was all decked up with DMK flags and supporters in large numbers had gathered outside to mark their return from Delhi.

Upon their arrival, they headed straight to DMK chief's residence where dozens of excited party workers were again waiting in a show of strength.

DMK's working president MK Stalin also accompanied the two leaders from the airport to the party headquarters.

Raja and Kanimozhi were among the 17 people who were acquitted of corruption and money-laundering charges when mobile network licences were issued in 2008.

The CBI also failed to provide any evidence of a conspiracy among renowned politicians, bureaucrats and top corporate executives.
