There’s more trouble on the block for Netflix’s Indian original web series Sacred Games starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.

According to a fresh plea filed against the makers, producers and cast, petitioner seeks removal of certain scenes that are allegedly defamatory to the late former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

The plea was mentioned earlier in the day before a bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C. Hari Shankar, which allowed it to be listed later in the afternoon.

The plea will be heard on July 12.

The plea seeks removal of those scenes which are acted by Nawazuddin’s character Ganesh Gaitonde in the series as it reflects late Rajiv Gandhi and his regime in a poor light. Earlier, a Congress leader filed a complaint for "misrepresenting facts during his regime."
