For those who watch Netflix, Saif Ali Khan has been a fresh change in Sacred Games as Sartaj, a Mumbai cop who is out to save his city from a tragedy that will fall in 25 days. Receiving rave reviews for its plot and acting skills shown by the actors, the web series has been a hit with the masses so far.
In another news, it is reported that Saif will now be seen with his daughter Sara Ali Khan in Nitin Kakkar’s film, a first for the father-daughter duo. Confirming that he is a part of the project, Saif said in a report: “Nitin and I have been in talks for a film, but it’s in the early stages. We haven’t finalised it yet. The script is good.”
The film is reportedly a slice-of-life relationship drama about a father and daughter. According to a source quoted in the report: “It’s a comical, but poignant take on the friendship and the equation that exists between a baap and his beti. But it will have a message, too.”
The source added: “Nitin has also approached Sara Ali Khan for the role of the daughter. This will probably be Saif and Sara’s first film together. Both of them have liked the story and have verbally given their nod. Now, the modalities and the dates need to be sorted out. Sara and Saif were Nitin’s first choices and the makers thought it would make for an interesting casting coup.”
The film will reportedly be produced by Jay Shewaramani, who earlier worked with Tips and is Ramesh Taurani’s brother-in-law.
Meanwhile, the newcomer Sara is making her Bollywood debut with Kedarnathopposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Her second film is Simmba with Ranveer Singh. The film is already on floors.
