Samsung is expected to launch the new phone under its flagship on September 12 in India at an event scheduled to be held in New Delhi.
The company was forced to shut down Samsung Note 7 after reports of handset explosion due to self-combusting batteries of the phone. Galaxy Note 8 will be the successor to Samsung's Note 7.
The phone is expected to be priced at Rs 60,000 in India. Samsung has created a special website for its new launch Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
The website is for people interested in the phone to register themselves. Early registration will give an early opportunity to buy the phone.
The handset's launch in India will be coinciding with the Apple event in the US.
The much awaited Apple's 10th-anniversary edition- iPhone 8 will be revealed in the US on September 12.
iPhone 8 is expected to enter the Indian markets around the first week of October.
However, the Apple's 10th-anniversary edition will be available at a price higher than that of Galaxy Note 8. The Apple iPhone is said to be priced at Rs 1 lakh.
Besides the two new launches, several other new phones are making their way for the Indian audience.
Google is expected to hit the market with Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 in October. Also, Nokia is ready to bring Nokia 8 to the market this year.
