2017 Forbes ranking of the richest billionaires has 101 Indians making it to the list. The Indian ranking is led by Mukesh Ambani at a net worth of $23.2 billion followed by Lakshmi Mittal with a net worth of $16.4 billion.

She is the mother of former Congress MP Naveen Jindal. Savitri Jindal is the richest women in India, serving as the non-executive chairperson of Jindal Steel & Power Limited. The matriarch has seen the shares of the company fall and rise as soon she came to control things. She was a minister in Haryana government and a member of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) from Hisar constituency.
